No frills, No spills. Everything about BordersBusiness.com is nice and simple. Just a basic link to link website. The purpose of the site? ...........To promote local business. If you are self employed in the Borders then this site is relevant to you. In fact even if you have a club or non profit organisation you are more than welcome on BB.com because we have a Non-Commercial section as well! Our Directories are FREE so just email us with your website and we add you, simple! If you do not have a website with your business' own internet domain web address, then why not? You really need to get with the times! It only costs about £10 to legally register a web address. If you want BordersBusiness.com to do the hard work for you of setting you up with an address and a small web presence to go with it then just send an email to admin@bordersbusiness.com. We'll quickly suss out what you need and once your set up, which if its just basic contact details and details of the service you do, then it shouldn't take too long! In fact you could potentially have something up and running in less than a DAY's time! Just email the info you want on it and that's it, your good to go! If you want a few pictures put on your site to jazz it up a bit its not a problem either. Please be clear, BordersBusiness.com are NOT professional web designers. We do what we call "basic low cost web presences". If you want a professional job you could be looking at a starting price of £500+ and in many cases you are talking 4 figures. Here at BordersBusiness.com you will be looking at paying from £50 for a 1 or 2 page website, maybe a couple of hundred if you want quite a few pages with a bit of content. After that if you want just small changes done once every few weeks/months then just email BB and it'll be done. On the other hand if you are going to be a fuss pot and want your website looking jazzy, spectacular and are very particular the way you want it looking then don't bother contacting us to do a website because we're probably not good enough for you! We're also not too keen on people pestering us CONSTANTLY to update sites. So either pay a professional or we'll have to suss out a yearly maintenance fee, but don't expect a big bill because we don't do them! The beauty is once your site is built it automatically gets advertised on the entrance to the BordersBusiness.com website (the Quick Links Cover page!). At the end of the day how professional does a website need to be? Much of the business here in the Borders is by 'word of mouth' but even so, with BordersBusiness.com it does not have to be a costly exercise to have a web presence.
